The recital is a celebration of the dancers hard work, progress and enjoyment of dance!!
Counterpoint Dance is presenting two Recitals, one on June 18th and another on June 19th. ALL Disney Make-Believe classes will perform in the June 19th recital only. The recital promises to be awonderful evening for the whole family and of course our talented budding ballerina’s! Disney dancer’s will perform prior to intermission so you may wish to purchase a ticket for your dancer so that she may stay to enjoy the second half of the show from the audience and then join us back op on stage at the end for our Finale song and dance or you may prefer to take your young performer home at Intermission time. We will escort your Disney Princess on to the stage at Intermission so you can greet / pick her up.
The recitals are held at the University of Calgary Theater and will begin at 6:15 p.m.
The recital program will be sent to you in May so that you can check for any name spelling errors and to see specifically when your child dances.
Recital Tickets:
Are available through COUNTERPOINT DANCE from now until March 1st. Anyone wishing to attend the recital(s) will require a ticket in order to gain admittance to the theater. Seats are assigned, and we will do our best to sit families together. Fire regulations dictate that children over the age of two years require their own seat and may not sit on a parents lap.
Recital tickets go on sale February 2nd through to March 1s. Tickets are sold on a first come basis. *the studio is closed Feb. 15th – 20th, please do not drop your order form in the outside mail box during this time.

Tickets will be ready for you to pickup in the studio lobby on photo day(s) May 25th and May 26th, times tba. You will be required to bring your tickets to the recital in order to be permitted into the theatre.
Please be aware that ticket orders may not be placed through the studio after March 1st so if there are any tickets remaining after March 1st they will be sold at the theater one hour recital.
Please fill out the order form (page2) and bring it into the studio office by March 1st. Scanned or emailed copies won’t be processed, thank you for your understanding.
Costumes:
An important element in our year-end recital is the costumes that add color, vibrancy and beauty to the stage. Your Disney princess will be given her own special tutu to wear at recital. The cost of the costume was included in your registration fee, thank you.
Dress Rehearsal
The dress rehearsal will be held on FRIDAY June 1st at the Cedarbrae Community commencing at 4:00 p.m. with our Disney Make-Believe classes. Further details forth
coming.
Flower For Your Dancer
A beautiful rose for you to present to
your dancer following the recital. The rose will be nicely wrapped and presented with a ribbon. Flowers will not be available for purchase at the theatre and must be pre-ordered by March 1st. Cost is $5.00. Please refer to the attached order form
Teacher Flower Presentations
Please help us say a special thank you to all of our wonderful teachers! We ask, if you would like, to make a small contribution so that we may purchase a flowers to thank each of our wonderful teachers and student assistants.
Recital Video
Counterpoint is using the services of a professional video company who is able to offer wonderful DVD’s of the recitals. They make great keep sakes. Please refer to the attached order form Thank you.
Photo Day
Photo day is Saturday May 26th for all of our Disney Make- Believe dancers. A detailed photo schedule will be forward to you in the coming months. Dancers are required to wear their costumes and may order photos at a later date.
